Hello world!

Welcome to my web portfolio. I hope to use this blog to post up WIP as well as possibly begin a project a week type thing.

Anyway, I just tried out a new program called Sculptris. It like Z-Brush or Mudbox, but its Freeware. I wish it were Open Source, but I’ll take it where I can get it. I just hope it doesn’t get bought out and made into another bloated commercial crap fest.  So, I started a little sculpt project to test it out, and here it is.

This is about 4 hours in (I’m not really that skilled with sculpting… yet :D ), and its starting to really shape up. The character is one of my wife’s RPG characters. A powerful monk/priest from a tribe of snake people called the Na’ak. They have four arms, mostly because the Tengu bird people (yes, it is an asian styled world) and the Na’ak are mythologically related (their ultimate forefathers were brothers, legend has it) and so the Tengu had 6 limbs… it seemed like a sound design choice from there.

Here are the screenshots, as well as a few source files.
